Dependent Child
For the purposes of the Canada Student Loans Program, child (including adopted, step-, and foster children) who:
- is 18 years of age or younger and is wholly dependent on and under the custody and control of the student or the student’s spouse/common-law partner; or
- is a full-time student at a secondary or post-secondary institution and meets the definition of “single dependent student”.
