Learn new skills, make valuable contacts or get practical work experience while helping out your community by becoming a volunteer. Inquire at your local community centre, sports organizations, non-profit organizations or other social agencies for volunteer opportunities in your area.

- Volunteer Canada
- Volunteer Canada is the national voice for volunteerism in Canada. Since 1977, Volunteer Canada has been committed to supporting volunteerism and civic participation through ongoing programs and special projects.
- Uniterra
- Uniterra is a Canadian international voluntary program, jointly operated by CECI and WUSC and is present in 13 countries. Uniterra volunteer positions are open to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants who are of good health and between the ages of 18 and 70.
- CUSO-VSO
- CUSO-VSO is the North American member of VSO International Federation. A volunteer-driven international development organization, VSO works with more than 40 countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.
